Congratulations Caleb & Adrienne!!!!!

Us with Caleb & Adrienne at her Baby Shower in Bmore!

Benjamin Asher Weir came into the world on 12/28/07 around 7pm. He has yet to realize this, but he has probably the most awesomest parents. Congrats again you three, we love you so much, even Caleb, you big girl you!!!

Completed Deck!

The steps lead to the basement doors. The retaining wall along the side of the house was done by Joe, Jacob, and I. There is still a little left to do in order to run the drainage pipes correctly but once it is done that area will hopefully turn into additional seating.
Rick Canter (with Twin Beach Contractors) who built the deck was able to use the siding that was left over from the house on the deck.

The firepit is not going to stay inside! This was Joe and my Christmas present from Jennifer =) It is going to go on the ground level away from wood!

Our deck is finally complete and turned out really great. I know it will get used a lot. It is a little chilly at the moment but once we are able to run electricity out there it might make it easier to sit out there in the cold months.

Christmas for Christina and Joe

I love fall so these plates are just my style and Joe is a bargain hunter in training and found them on sale at a really great price!
Joe has a little Saturday project to work on...
Here is the ultimate baby bag...
Ok that expression could not be any better!
He definitely looks the part!

I love surprising Joe and giving him gifts! His reactions are always so awesome and genuine it is hilarious. So this Christmas I splurged a little bit and got him something he has been asking for, for a while which is a paintball gun. It reminded me of the movie "the Christmas Story" where the kid only wants a red ryder bb gun and everyone keeps telling him he will shoot his eye out. Well I did caution Joe on his gift NOT to shoot his eye out! I got some extra help on picking out the right stuff from a secret source at work! Which was awesome because what I would have picked out wouldn't have been nearly as good. =) What Joe got me was a scrapbooking organizer, plates from Pier 1, and a diaper bag. I know what you are thinking that it is too early for that but it was supposed to be our one baby motivation tool, but I guess we didn't really need much motivating. It happened a lot faster than we had anticipated. But it is still an awesome bag and it is even brown, blue and green so Joe shouldn't feel too feminine carrying it around as well!!

Reactions from Family

Mama and Daddys reaction "Does this mean your pregnant?" =)
Grandma and Grandpa, "Did you want us to give these to Sophia?" "Oh your pregnant!" =)
Danny and Moms reaction, "Oh my gosh no way! This is so amazing! How are you feeling?"
Adrienne and Calebs reaction, "Joe is going to be our baby's best friend? What?!" Caleb had to help translate the onsie.

Since Joe and I are fairly new at the whole blog thing we are still trying to catch up. So we finally got to tell all of our family the good news about the baby last weekend and we received many great reactions. Some of them were captured on camera and we have provided some of the pics for you guys to see as well. This will be the first baby on my moms side of the family so that is very exciting and the second on my dad's side. So Sophia will have a cousin, which will be awesome!! And this baby will be the fourth on Joe's side of the family.

First Beach Blog - 7 weeks and counting

Following in Caleb and Adrienne's Blog, we have decided to do one for ourselves.

We have decided to start off our first blog with the biggest news of our lives to date.....

WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A BABY!!!!!

Christina dropped the baby ball on me on 12/15/07.
We have recently started trying to start a family about a month or so ago, and it just so happens when you combine a very fertile lady with a superhuman man, you get a freaking sweet surprise.

How Christina told me:
I was intensely watching probably Ninja Warrior on TV and she came down with a gift bag. I told her that I do not like to have Christmas presents early, but she insisted with tears in her eyes of joy, to open the stinking bag. In the bag was a homemade card saying "Future Worlds Greatest Daddy" along with the pregnancy test.

I was pretty shocked when I read this, but I just had the big O face for about a min or two bc of this crazy surprise.
The next day we took another test just to be sure and in fact it was the same result. Christina's first doctor's appt will be 1/8/08, and they told her right now she is 7 weeks pregnant. =)

The cat is pretty much jumping out the bag now bc this past weekend we told all our family members the big news, so now we are telling the WORLD!!!
