Abby is 6 Months Old!!!

Abby is already 6 months old! We cannot believe time has flown by so fast! It has definitely been the most amazing 6 months of our lives =) Joe and I have definitely enjoyed our new addition to the fam! She is so fun and has grown so much in every way. She now can grab, reach, squeal, smile, laugh, pull, stand, roll over, push up, eat "real" food, and the list can just keep on going. That is such a leap from when she first arrived. I made Abby two half cakes, one for daycare and the other for her to rip into at the house. She definitely enjoyed tearing into the cake. I think she liked the squishy, slimy feeling =) Not to mention the taste! She hasn't really had the sweet stuff yet. We decided to strip her down to her diaper so all we had to do was transfer her to the bathtub after it was all over. What the cake looked like "pre-Abby" What the cake looked like after the masacre...=) Abby getting pumped up and excited about what she was about to do! "I am a MESS and love it!!!"

Happy Valentine's Day!

Abby has been sleeping so great! Today was no exception. She woke up at 5:45 to eat and then right back to sleep until 9:30!!! Thank you Abby =) We have been transitioning off of her sleeping wedge/form. It all started because I left it at daycare this week. Which to be honest I was a little nervous when I put her to bed the night I forgot the form at daycare. I was thinking that she would wake up at least 5 times that night. But she did not make a peep until 5am (when she is supposed to be up!). I could not believe it! She actually sleeps better without it. If anyone is enabling her it would be me. I keep thinking she can't do something and then she proves me wrong!

We spent the day just hanging out together. We got up and made breakfast, then we went to get our hair cut. We stopped by an Amish Market that is now in Upper Marlboro, about 2 minutes from where we used to live. It isn't quite up to the same level as the Annapolis Amish Market but it was still delicious. We ended up getting some Chocolate covered strawberries which we awesome. Then we went to Bowie for a little bit of shopping and then back home to go to dinner with Ma-moo and Pop-pop. We had a great day of hanging out. Abby was so good, she loves to see all of the new things wherever we go. So normally her look is inquisitive and nosey =)

Abby helped me with the Valentines Day Cards. She gave a little something extra to the cards =)

Our little carebear! We bought her the carebear to match her helmet/snow cap =)

I got some cuddle time with my little valentine!

What I do on Friday Nights Now...

So we have been wanting to go through the medicine cabinet for a couple of weeks now. We bought all of the organizational tools but just didn't have the time or motivation. So Joe went to the movies to go see Friday the 13th, and those of you reading this that know me, know how I CANNOT watch scary movies! I have too much of an imagination, that I would not be able to sleep if I were to watch something like that. Joe has grown up on horror movies. What cracks me up, is the person who introduced him to the classics (his Dad, no longer watches them! So Joe ended up going solo to the movie. Brian was going to go with him but wasn't feeling well on Friday. So since it was just Abby and I at the house we decided to tackle some of the stuff that we had been putting off. What is so sad is I ended up finding some items that had expiration dates of 2000 and 2003....whoops! I have decided that since I am now a mom, I need to start paying attention to things like expiration dates!

Look at all of that trash!

Look at the organization =) I can do it if I try...

Highlight of my day... by far

So Abby has started to grab and hold things. She is really into faces and will stare hard core at people. So tonight I was watching Abby while Joe was at a Deacons meeting and Abby just grabs my face and pulls it to her and gives me the biggest smile ever! I was a very happy mommy in that moment. It is in those moments that I truly appreciate the small stuff!!!
